Hi, come see the world how i see..
The less obvious lessons of nature interest me the most. My photographs
are most successful I believe, when they not only show beauty, but evoke a sense of wonder and mystery. I like my photographs to give a feeling of looking at a hidden world we don't normally see.
Nature offers an infinity of views and changing light. There are great photographs waiting to be found everywhere, everyday. But they are
almost never to be found easily. It takes the vision of an artist, along
with the tenacity of a hunter, to find a great photograph in nature.
If these photos have a mission, it is this: capture rarely viewed scenes and environments and present them in an interesting way.
It may be a lonesome tree on an isolated hill or the dark interior of an abandoned building. Whatever the locale, on the best of days these
images will stir up unexpected feelings and thoughts in the viewer.
My approach to photography is based on my belief in the vigor and
values of the world in nature—in the aspects of grandeur and of the
minutiae all about us.
I believe in growing things, and in things which have grown and died magnificently.
I believe in people and in the simple aspects of human life, and in the relation of man to nature.
I believe that man must be free, both in spirit and society, that he must
build strength into himself, affirming the "enormous beauty of the world"
and acquiring the confidence to see and to express his vision.
And I believe in photography as one means of expressing this affirmation, and of achieving an ultimate happiness and faith. ---
